History:
The Country Corner Coffee House began in the Fall of 1990 at it's current location in the Fellowship Hall of the Congregational Church of South Hadley Falls. The season began that October on the third Saturday and continued on consecutive months until April (except Dec). Many area rising country and bluegrass bands got noticed here. Through the years many area, regional and nationally know bands have performed on stage in front of the large Country Corner banner. Notable groups include The Bear Bridge Band, Acoustic Blue, Southern Rail, The Dry Branch Fire Squad and Karl Shiflett and The Big Country Show just to name a few.
Current: The coffee house continues to be a gathering place every third Saturday in the Fall and Winter months filling the bill during the bluegrass festival off-season. Bluegrass and country music diehards continue to come from as far away as Maine, the southern shore of Connecticut and across the border into New York state. It is one of the longest running strictly old time country and bluegrass coffee houses in the region.
